Josh Gauntt, Video Journalist

Josh Gauntt joined Bay News 9 as a video journalist for Pinellas County, and at times also covering Pasco County. Josh came to the Tampa Bay area from WJHG, the NBC affiliate in beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida. 

Josh is proud to have been on the front lines of history. Over the years, he has found himself on a few front lines, telling stories of survival, heartache, and affecting change with government. 

When he was coming out of high school Josh knew that he wanted to be a reporter.  What first started out as reading science fun facts off a teleprompter for a local news station, has turned into the best job in the world.  It’s a very rewarding job; especially when you make a difference in someone’s life.

Josh is a graduate of Troy University in Troy, Alabama.  While attending Troy, Josh worked on-air at the on-campus television station "Trojan Vision News."   

In his spare time, Josh enjoys playing golf, baseball, and going to the beach.
