Josh Rojas, Reporter
Bay News 9's Josh Rojas is a general assignment reporter based in the news channel's Pinellas County newsroom.
Josh is from Colorado where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Colorado in Boulder. While a student, Josh was able to experience his first national story when CNN hired him to help cover the Columbine High School shootings.
Josh's career began as a one-man band reporter at KOBR-TV in Roswell, N.M. After just a year he moved up the road to KOBTV in Albuquerque. Four years later he moved to San Antonio as a reporter/fill-in anchor for the FOX affiliate KABB.
As an award-winning journalist Josh has covered everything from New Mexico fires to floods in San Antonio. In 2003 he won first place in General News from the New Mexico Associated Press Broadcasters.
In his free time Josh enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, fishing and snowskiing.
