Veronica Cintron, Anchor
Veronica Cintron is an Anchor at Bay News 9. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Veronica moved to Tampa in 2001 to attend the University of South Florida where she earned a degree in Mass Communications. She also received a minor in International Studies. Go Bulls!
Prior to joining Bay News 9, Veronica was the main female anchor at western Massachusetts' #1 rated television station and NBC affiliate (WWLP) for several years.
While working in the Bay State, she spent a lot of time covering New England's wicked weather and politics-- including the election of Massachusetts' first African-American governor.
Veronica also traveled on several occasions to Washington D.C. on assignment, as well as Puerto Rico and Holland. She has won two Associated Press awards and she's a proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Veronica is married and currently living in Tampa. She loves traveling, especially to visit her family in Puerto Rico and her in-laws in Wisconsin. This also makes her an unofficial Green Bay Packers fan! On her spare time, Veronica also enjoys reading, baking, dining out and watching movies.
