We are learning more about the woman who was shot and killed in Spring Hill over the weekend.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Inga Marie Swanson was armed with a gun and naked when she showed up not once, but twice at a party on Orchard Way.

They say Swanson confronted an off-duty deputy and an off-duty Tampa police officer with that gun, forcing at least once of them to open fire, killing her.

When Swanson's friend Teal Mull heard the news, she said she was shocked.  Mull tells us Swanson dated her brother-in-law for years and describes her as earthy, with a love for the guitar.  She also tells us Swanson was deeply religious.

"When she lived out here and was part of our family full-time, we used to go shopping, go out for coffee. You know, girl stuff," Mull says. "It's really hard for me to get that she was walking around the neighborhood naked."

But two witnesses confirm the strange behavior, even taking a cell phone picture to prove it.  Al Eylward and Robert Collins, both of Hudson, were driving down Orchard way to look at some property.  They say they first saw Swanson walking down the road naked.  When they asked if she was alright, they say she told them she was confused then headed off into the woods.  Later, they say they barged into a home they had stopped to see, still naked and waving a cross.

"She held the cross up and made a circle and said Antichrist, Antichrist, this meeting is over," Elyward said.  "And as she did that she stopped, turned around and walked back."

The Sheriff's Office says Swanson eventually made her way over to the nearby party.  They say she left there, only to come back a short while later with a gun.  Off camera, Swanson's live-in boyfriend said she must have stopped at their home, just a few doors down, to get his antique gun.  He believes that's the weapon Swanson was holding when she was shot.

As for the law enforcement officers involved, we are told they are both on administrative leave. We are told that is routine, while FDLE completes its investigation. We are told law officers are permitted to carry their service weapons while off the clock.  No word yet on whether alcohol was being served at the party.
