Get the hoodie ready: Fall is finally about to arrive in the Bay area.

It will be cool Monday and Tuesday in the Bay area and even cold in the north counties the next couple of mornings.

"The coolest air of the season will be moving in," Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez said. "The chilliest morning will be on Tuesday, when Tampa drops to near 50 with 40s in parts of the metro area away from the water.

"Cool spots in Citrus and Hernando Counties may dip into the upper 30s."

Monday morning's low will be around 55 degrees in the Bay area and cooler inland and to the north.

The temperatures won't be anywhere near the record lows for this time of year, though. Tampa has dropped all the way to the low 40s in late October.

Afternoon highs the next few days will also be noticeably cooler, too. Monday's high will only get to about 72, and Tuesday's will be around 70.

Halloween is Wednesday, and the temperatures will be moderate - around 75 during the day and 63 overnight.
