Residents in Pinellas County and some other parts of the Bay area had a rainy morning, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up.

According to Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay, the chance of showers continues to be good tonight, with the possibility of some heavy rain this evening.

The rain is the result of a frontal boundary that has stalled to the northwest of the Bay area, resulting in showers and clouds locally.

Thursday's weather is expected to return to a more typical pattern, with mainly afternoon thunderstorms on the sea breeze.
