A 7-month-old baby is recovering at an area hospital following an incident that led to the arrest of a Pasco County man who has previously been charged with child abuse.

Neighbors say they saw a number of deputies pull up Monday and take 29-year-old Brian Davis away in cuffs.

Bay News 9 has been told Davis is now charged with aggravated child abuse for allegedly breaking the leg, arm, shoulder and fracturing the skull of a 7-month-old baby girl.

According to the arrest report, Davis has a history of anger management problems and the baby's mother even told deputies she saw Davis violently shake the 7-month old before, even throwing her into her crib while shouting about how he couldn't handle all of the crying.

This isn't the first time Davis has been arrested for child abuse. He was convicted in 2003 in Pinellas County for abusing his then 6-month-old baby girl.

Davis was living with his ex-wife in St. Petersburg at the time and according to police, he was angry he had to watch his daughter rather than go fishing.

When she awoke from her nap crying, Davis bit her multiple times in the face.

Davis served nearly 8 years in prison on that conviction and was just released last summer.

The sheriff's office says Davis was ordered by a Pasco County judge to stay away from this 7-month-old.

Davis is being held at Land O’ Lakes jail.

Davis told deputies, when asked about the incident, that the baby wakes him up in the middle of the night and has deprived him of sleep for several days.
