One of President Barack Obama's supporters made things a little tricky for the people responsible for stealing election signs from his front yard.

It all started when David Morris of St. Petersburg and his neighbors wanted to show their support for the President with yard signs.

"We said we were in a pretty conservative area, stereotypically, so we thought we should all put our signs out," he said.

"The lady who lives over there went and got some signs, and we all put them out. And they were gone in a day or two," said neighbor David Simpson.

Over the next few weeks, 12 signs disappeared.

Morris decided not to give up. Instead, he got creative.

"When I saw it, I had to laugh," said Simpson.

Signs now warn thieves that Morris will gladly buy new ones and the Obama campaign will get another $6 donation.

"You think about it and all of the political campaigns take in so much money, and so you are really not helping yourself by stealing this sign. You'll just end up donating more money to the campaign," he laughed.

Morris said ever since he put up the additional note, the rest of his campaign signs have been safe.
