A bittersweet reunion at Tampa's Moffitt Cancer Center brought together patients and the donors who saved their lives.

For more than a decade, the facility has reunited thousands of people who wanted to finally meet and share stories.

This year, Kristen Baldwin and Justina Gouilet finally met.

Kristen received Justina's bone marrow in 2006 after doctors diagnosed her with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

She needed the bone marrow transplant to survive.

“Ever since I found out about her, it’s been my dream to meet her,” said Kristen.

Justina had donated marrow in her home country of Germany hoping to help a particular young boy.

However, when she learned she was not a match for him, her marrow went into an international registry.

After years of emails and text messages, the two finally met.

"It’s an amazing feeling and I just don’t have any words,” said Justina.

“It was really only four hours of my life I had to spend to save her.

Kristen and Justina spent several days together visiting the Tampa Bay area, before Justina headed back to Germany.
