If you haven't cast your ballot yet, you'll have to wait until Election Day on Tuesday if you want to do it in person.

The early voting period ended Saturday, and some record numbers are in the books.

Hillsborough and Pasco counties both reported records for the eight days of early voting. Also, Pasco set a single-day record Saturday with about 10,000 early voters and Hillsborough set a single-day record with 28,728.

Hillsborough reported 166,937 early voters, exceeding the previous record of 146,558 set in 2008. The county also had 143,829 mail ballots turned in as of Sunday, making for a turnout of 41 percent with Election Day still ahead.

There were 60,648 total early voters in Pasco, along with 54,706 mail ballots cast. That puts the turnout at 43 percent already.

Pinellas County didn't break its early vote record, but with a record 300,000 requests for mail ballots, pre-election voting is close to 40 percent. The county had 39,562 early votes and has received 210,174 mail ballots.

North of the Bay area, Citrus County is already at 43 percent turnout for the election.

A lawsuit federal lawsuit filed Sunday by the Florida Democratic Party seeking an extension of early voting in South Florida does not impact the Bay area.
