A Homosassa woman has been arrested and charged with having sex with a 15-year-old boy.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Renee Mangini, 44, was arrested Thursday at her home on Bayliner Point and charged with lewd and and lascivious battery on a child under 16.
A deputy said while working on another case the boy had witnessed, it was discovered that Mangini had participated in sexual activities with the boy.
The accusations prompted a child protection team to initiate an investigation.
The boy said he visited Mangini home and she invited him to take a drive. They reportedly drove to a wooded act where they had sex in the back of her pickup truck.
Deputies said Mangini denied any contact with the boy.
She was arrested and transported to the Citrus County Detention Center.
