Indian Rocks Beach residents may have to start hauling their garbage cans to the curb.
Right now, workers get the container, then walk it to the truck and dump the trash.
The city is considering new cans and equipment that would do all the heavy lifting, but it would mean the cans have to be curbside.
Officials said this change would make trash collection faster, safer and less expensive.
