It was a sweet celebration in Plant City Monday as the hallmark of the annual Strawberry Festival was held.
Thousands of people attended the annual grand parade, which had 120 floats, including one from Bay News 9.
Bay News 9 anchors Veronica Cintron, Erica Riggins, and Infomas' Irma Murillo waved and threw beads at the screaming crowd. Also on the float were Bay News 9 meteorologists Josh Linker and Brian McClure and Brooke Bennett from Bright House Sports Network.
The 11-day festival is now open in Plant City with rides, shows and entertainment, and of course, some "berry" sweet food.
The Strawberry Festival continues until March 11.
