A school bus crash in Bartow injured nine students and two bus staff Thursday afternoon.
According to Polk County Fire Rescue spokesperson Brad Ruhmann, a Polk County School Bus and a 2012 Chevy Sonic crashed at Highway 60 and Old Connersville Road in Bartow around 4:20 p.m.
A school bus attendant was taken by ambulance to Bartow Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Nine students and the school bus driver were also taken to BRMC with a school bus. Those victims transported with a school bus did not need specialized treatment, but a paramedic was on the bus with them as they were transported to BRMC.
Two injured students were released to their parents and 19 uninjured students were taken home by bus.
The driver of the 2012 Chevy Sonic minor scrapes and bruises and refused treatment on scene.
Investigators have not stated who may be at fault in the crash. None of the injured have been identified.
