Michael Graziano, 24, younger brother of John Graziano -- seriously injured in a crash with Nick Bollea in August 2007 -- is in critical condition after crashing into the back of a dump truck in Largo.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Michael Graziano was the passenger in a 1994 Volvo that slammed into the back of a dump truck overnight at Ulmerton Road and 66th Street in Largo at 3 a.m.

Investigators said the Volvo was westbound at high rate of speed on Ulmerton Road when the driver of the car, Cameron Bosley, 24, rear-ended the dump truck.

Troopers said Bosley and Graziano were not wearing seat belts.

"We don't at this time suspect any alcohol involvement,” said Sgt. Steve Gaskins. “We're just looking at careless driving and being above the speed limit. And again, not wearing their seat belts. A very important reminder of why seat belts are required in cases like this."

Graziano was rushed to Bayfront Medical Center where his mother says he's in extremely critical condition.

Graziano's mother Debbie was too upset to talk on camera. But off camera she passed along this message, "Please pray for my son John and please pray for my son Michael."

Bosley was also taken to Bayfront. He was initially listed in serious condition but his condition has since been upgraded to fair. The dump truck driver was not injured.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the investigation into Tuesday morning’s crash is ongoing.

So far, no chargers or traffic citations have been issued against Bosley.

According to the DMV, Michael Graziano's license is suspended for multiple tickets - including careless driving, reckless driving and speeding.

Bosley has a current driver's license but in the past few years he's been ticketed six times for driving on a suspended license. He has also gotten 10 tickets for speeding, and one for careless driving and one for not wearing a seatbelt.

Off-camera, Debbie Graziano said her son and Bosley have been friends since childhood. She says they went to a Lightning game in Tampa Monday night but does not know where they were going early Tuesday morning.

Crash eerily similar to brother's 2007 crash

Michael Graziano's brother, a decorated war vet suffered a severe brain injury during the well-publicized Clearwater crash in 2007.

Both brothers were passengers in speeding cars, both were not wearing their seat belts and both brothers were critically injured.

Debbie Graziano told Bay News 9, "It's the same thing all over again."

John Graziano was riding in a car with when Bollea, who was driving, lost control and hit a palm tree head on.

John Graziano, a former Marine, was hospitalized for two years at James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa. His mother, Debra, now cares for John full-time.

Michael Graziano's dad is in prison for trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife.
