Between them, Michael and Letara Bennett shared 13 children

The couple was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 4 in Plant City on Wednesday morning. The family wants the driver who cut their loved ones off and caused them lose control of their vehicle to come forward.

“She loved her kids more than anything," Letara’s sister, Jermeka Lewis, said Thursday, "and I’m just crying out for whoever knows anything or could help us."

Florida Highway Patrol investigators said a driver aggressively cut them off, causing them to lose control of the SUV and roll over. The Bennetts were ejected and killed.

The driver who cut them off didn’t stop. Letara’s daughter, Alexis Foster, wants that driver to come forward.

“I don’t know why it happened. I hope you are sorry about it," Foster said to the driver.

Lewis added, “My heart would just feel much better if we knew who did it to just come forward and say what happened."

Troopers are asking the public's help identifying the driver who fled the scene.

The vehicle is described only as a dark colored compact car. Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the FHP at 813-631-4020.
