The teacher's aide accused of paying students for sex at a Lakeland high school has been arrested again on a new charge.

Curtis Jiles, a former paraprofesional/teacher aide at Tenorac High School, was charged with eight sex-related crimes Sunday after surrendering at the Polk County Jail.

He made bail Monday, but was arrested again Tuesday night by Polk County sheriff's detectives on a charge of lewd or lascivious conduct related to another alleged victim.

Detectives say a 15-year-old ninth-grade student at Tenorac told them Jiles made repeated sexual comments to him, slapped him on the rear, asked to see his genitals, called him nicknames such as "sexy chocolate" and touched him in the stomach area.

According to detectives, the new alleged victim said he saw Jiles as a father figure at the beginning of the school year but eventually became uncomfortable around him.

Jiles was initially arrested on eight charges involving four boys who were under his authority.

Detectives say he paid two male students to let him perform oral sex on them, and he tried to do the same with two other male students.

The students were between the ages of 15 and 17, detectives said.

Besides the new charge, Jiles faces two counts of sexual battery by a person in custodial authority, unlawful sexual activity with minors, two counts of procuring a person under 18 for prostitution, two counts of procuring a person under 18 for attempted prostitution and soliciting a person under 18 to engage in sexual battery.

Jiles is a husband and father of four. Up until about a year and a half ago, Jiles and his family were active members at Spirit Life Worship Center in Lakeland.

He is being held without bond.
