A dog named Savannah may have saved two people after a house fire broke out in Oldsmar Monday morning.

The fire reportedly started in the garage around 7:30 a.m.  Savannah, an Irish Wheaten terrier, started barking and woke up everyone in the house.

"It was about 7:30 and we heard our dog barking and our dog normally barks when the neighbor gets in the truck or whatever goes to work," homeowner Mike Brenner said. "This time it was a little different bark."

Brenner and his girlfriend called for help, then got out of the home. The garage erupted into flames a short while later.

"Large column of smoke as soon as we pulled out of the fire station this morning," Fire Chief Dean O'Nale said. "Multiple calls received from folks who saw it. We pulled up and heavy smoke and flames were coming out of the garage area."

Crews were able to beat down the fire in a few minutes, limiting damage to the garage, which had several classic motorcycles inside, and the front of the house.

No one was injured in the fire.

Investigators said they are not sure what started the fire.
