The Republican National Convention is less than three months away, and there's more news about private parties coming to the Bay area.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the California delegation has booked Jannus Live in downtown St. Petersburg and hired a band for the second night of the Aug. 27-30 convention.
The Times also reported that a nationally known planner famous for hosting big warehouse parties wants to host private gatherings at the old trolley barn near Tampa Heights and in the Kress and Woolworth buildings in downtown Tampa.
Applications with the city of Tampa were filed this week.
