A Tampa U.S. Army reservist is facing child pornography charges.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrest report, Steven Carl Brannon Jr., 25, has been charged with 8 counts of child porn distribution and 21 counts of child porn possession.
On June 15, detectives with the HCSO Internet Predator Unit served a search warrant at a Tampa home following a 2-month investigation. Three computers, external and internal hard drives, cell phones and SD cards were seized in the search.
Detectives said a "computer forensic" revealed Brannon was in possession of files depicting children approximately 3 to 16 years old engaged in sexual activities. Brannon was also allegedly in possession of child pornography files that he made available for download and were downloaded by detectives.
Brannon was arrested Thursday.
