The actress from the blockbuster movie “Dolphin Tale” is back in Clearwater.

Cozi Zuehlsdorff is shooting a documentary about Winter for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

The documentary “Winter: The Dolphin that Could” follows Winter the dolphin and will highlight how Winter has inspired kids and wounded soldiers.

Fans know Zuehlsdorff as Hazel, the bright eyed star of “Dolphin Tale”. The movie has touched millions of people around the world and especially in Winter’s home of Clearwater.

“Winter means so much to me because first of all, she is my first experience on camera, you know in a movie, things like that. It’s just such a blessing to be part of her story,” said Zuehlsdorff.

“I think it’s pretty cool because I’ve never actually had an autograph by like a real movie star and I’ve never actually been here!” said Kameron Lashley, a fan who came to have her picture taken with Zuehlsdorff.

Zuehlsdorff, who turns 14 in August, has never forgotten the dolphin that sparked her career or the fans who keep it going.

“I just really think she recognizes me whenever I come back, which is a really cool thing,” said Zuehlsdorff.

Zuehlsdorff brings tons of energy and excitement to every fan she meets. Since “Dolphin Tale” she has been working for the Disney Channel and she could not pass up the opportunity to come back to Clearwater for Winter.

“I was like of course! And also, I’ve been named a spokesperson for the Aquarium so I would have been back here anyway and the documentary was just an extra treat!” she said.

Fans lined up to see her and Winter even made an appearance. It is clear that Winter and Zuehlsdorff continue to capture hearts.

“It’s absolutely amazing to see how much she can touch one life,” she said. “I think her story, if it’s even able to touch one life, it’s all worthwhile what everyone has been striving to help her accomplish.”

Zuehlsdorff will spend the next few days following Winter’s story from where she was found to the Aquarium she now calls home.  “Winter: The Dolphin that Could” is scheduled to be released this fall.
