A bus fire created a traffic headache for drivers trying to head east on Interstate-4 on Sunday morning through the afternoon.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bus with no passengers aboard caught fire around 11:30 a.m near the Auburndale / Polk Parkway's eastern-most exit.

The eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours as crews put out the fire and worked to get the bus off the interstate. The roadway was reopened later Sunday afternoon.

The cause of the fire was not given. No one was injured.
