Voters in Polk County cast their ballots in several statewide and local races on Tuesday.

Marsha Faux defeated challenger Steven Blake in the non-partisan race for Property Appraiser.  Faux has been with the property appraiser's office since 1992, and she has served as the Property Appraiser for the 12 years.

Lori Edwards retained her position as Supervisor of Election.  She defeated challenger Colleen Burton in the non-partisan race.

Stacy Butterfield has been elected the new Clerk of the Circuit Courts.  Butterfield, who works as director of finance and accounting in the clerk's office, defeated County Commissioner Sam Johnson for the position.

Ed Smith and John Hall won the Republican primaries for the County Commission seats in Districts 3 and 5, respectively.
