Three men have been arrested in connection with a Port Richey hit-and-run Monday night that left two children seriously injured.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Misael Ochoa-Garcia, 26, was fleeing from three men who were beating him up in the 11000 block of Rohrman Road when he lost control of an SUV and plowed into a group of people, including four children.

Two children were seriously injured seriously injured - one with a possible broken back, the other with a compound fracture to his leg - and they were rushed to local hospitals.

Ochoa-Garcia was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, as well as two warrants for failing to appear in court on previous DUI and driver's license charges.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, a Pasco sheriff's spokesman said Ochoa-Garcia was in the area to set up a date with a 14-year-old girl.

Two men, Bobby Willis, 25, and Brian Sisk, 22, were arrested for simple battery. They are accused of battering Ochoa-Garcia before he crashed the SUV. Officials say a third man was involved in the beating also and a search is ongoing for that person.

The investigation is ongoing.
