A Michigan man was arrested Friday on accusations he reached under a bathroom stall at the Westfield Brandon mall and took photos of a 12-year-old boy.
Detectives say Victor Aaron Lemm, 57, of Coleman, Mich., entered a stall next to the boy around 2 p.m. Thursday at Macy's.
The boy noticed the camera and a hand come under the partition three different times, detectives say. He fled the bathroom and told his aunt and uncle, who told store employees.
The employees were able to get a description of the suspect and then his tag number. They contacted the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives say they determined the vehicle was a rental car registered to Lemm. They found Lemm in his room at a Motel 6 on Adamo Drive in Brandon, executed a search warrant and arrested him around 6 p.m. Friday. Lemm's car and electronic devices were seized.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, authorities say Lemm snapped pictures when he slipped the phone under the wall.
Lemm admitted to the offense, detectives say. He was charged with voyeurism.
