The Republican National Convention will bring in a large number of protesters to the Tampa Bay area.
Hillsborough County deputies say some of those protesters will be looking for a place to stay and will turn to unlawful entry to vacant homes or businesses, land properties and public parks.
HCSO is asking for the public to be vigilant for any signs of squatters who may try and trespass upon their owners properties.
Signs of such activity may include the following;
- Numerous people suddenly moving into a vacant residence/business
- Tents erected within backyards or uncommon areas
- Anarchist graffiti on boarded up buildings or public places
- Making flags to represent their cause
