Pinellas to block out 911 Twitter account during RNC

Because of the Republican National Convention, Pinellas County plans to block out its 911 Twitter account and a page on its website that monitors real-time calls, officials said.

That particular page shows where fire and emergency calls are across the county.

Officials say they're shutting down the site temporarily for safety reasons. They're also hoping to move will discourage anyone who might want to cause trouble while Republicans are in town.
