Monday was Florida Missing Children’s Day, an annual event held to remember missing children and raise awareness.

One name added to the list this year is 17-year-old Morgan Martin of St. Petersburg.

Morgan was four months pregnant when she disappeared July 25. Police say she got a call on her cell phone, went outside to talk to someone and never came back.

“Before I never understood how hard it was for anybody else,” said Martin’s sister, Sierra Cahill, “but now it really takes a toll on you.”

Family members have been circulating posters of the missing teen and they’ve started a Facebook page “Hope for Morgan Martin” which has attracted more than 2,000 followers.

“I will never give up until somebody tells me that she’s dead for a fact. I will never give up,” said Cahill.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a statewide alert in this case.

A $1,000 reward is also being offered.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
