Workers at the Bank of America building in downtown Tampa received a surprise Wednesday.

A water main break inside the building forced the closure of the east Kennedy Blvd. high rise.

The closure affects the bank, offices and the Tampa Club.

Tenants in the building lost water, air conditioning, elevators, toilets and phones.

The building will be closed the remainder of Wednesday.

The outside ATM is still operational.

A note posted to the front door read, "We apologize for the disruption to your business. However, we cannot keep the building open without working toilets."
