The first floor of a new addition to Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill is set to open next month.
The addition will include six new surgical suites and 18 recovery bays.
When the two-story addition is complete, it will also include a new family lounge for surgery patients and 36 private intensive care rooms on the second floor.
The expansion cost about $50 million. County leaders said that when it is complete, it will create about 70 new medical jobs.
