A burglar was caught in the act in Brooksville on Thursday, deputies said.

Timothy Dean St. Clair, 52, was arrested after deputies said they caught him inside the Cal-Main Foods processing plant on Old Ayers Road.

According to reports, the person who was monitoring the security cameras inside the plant saw an intruder inside the building and notified the owner.

The owner called the sheriff's office, who sent deputies to the building.  The owner also went to the building, the report said.

Once they were on scene, deputies surrounded the facility to trap the suspect inside, officials said.  The owner, who was speaking to the person monitoring the security cameras, was able to give the deputies the exact location within the facility.

Deputies positioned themselves outside the building, then arrested St. Clair as he tried to leave the building through a conveyor belt door, the report said.

St. Clair was taken to the Hernando County Detention Center. Bond is set at $5,000.
