County commission facing full agenda in first 2013 meeting

The Citrus County Commission has a busy agenda for its first regular meeting of the new year Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Topics will include the budget for fiscal year 2013-14 (County Administrator Brad Thorpe will present his first budget forecast preview), the Interlocal Agreement with the Citrus County School Board, concurrency and impact fees.

Also, the commission will consider approving and executing the agreement between the Citrus County Port Authority and TranSystems to prepare a feasibility study for Port Citrus. The meeting also will include employee service awards and recognition for local businesses.

Commission meetings, held in the courthouse in Inverness, are televised live on cable TV on Channel 622 on Bright House Networks. The agenda is also available beforehand at the Lecanto Government Building and in the commissioners’ suite on the second floor of the courthouse.
