In Citrus County, some students could be heading for new schools next year because of population shifts.

According to the Citrus County Chronicle, population shifts are occurring in the Central Ridge and Inverness areas. The school board will review some tentative boundary lines for two high schools and five elementary schools.

If zoning changes are approved, students entering the fifth and 12th grades next year would not have to move.
