A man arrested and charged with first-degree arson after authorities responded to a Valrico mobile home fire and discovered a body early Monday is facing a new charge- murder.

Just after midnight Monday, deputies were dispatched to the Oakhill Village Mobile Home Park to investigate a report of a mentally ill man walking around with a hammer and asking to be taken to a mental health center.

Deputies arrived and found a trailer on the 100 block of Oakhill View Drive on fire. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire and and discovered a man's body inside the trailer.

The man with the hammer, 42-year-old Frank Chapman, Jr., was found nearby. He reportedly made statements about having started the fire and was taken into custody.

Later, he was arrested charged with first degree arson of a dwelling. His bond was set at $50,000. Late Monday, he was charged with murder.

The victim was identified as 72-year-old Archie Ennis Carr.
