The mother of one of the girls arrested in the bullying death of 12-year-old Rebecca Sedwick - in jail herself on an unrelated charge - had her bail set at $300,000 Saturday.

Vivian Vosburg, 30, of Lakeland was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of child abuse with bodily harm and four counts of child neglect in connection with a video that was posted to Facebook. She had a bond hearing Saturday morning.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Friday that the video shows Vosburg punching two children while trying to break up a fight. The charges are not connected to the case against Vosburg's 14-year-old daughter, who, with a 12-year-old girl, was charged Tuesday with felony aggravated stalking in Sedwick's death.

The girls are not being identified here because of their ages.

Judd said Vosburg admitted she went too far.

"After we showed her the video about how she hit this one kid 10 times in the back and in the head with her fist, she admitted 'well, I did go too far that that day,' and she also admitted 'it just got out of hand,' " Judd said.

Six children ranging in ages from 9 to 14 appear in the video.

"Seems to me we've got some real violent activity going on in that home," Judd said. "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

Detectives said Vosburg told them she was breaking up a fight. She said she "continued to hit one juvenile after the other fell to the floor because he was attempting get up from the bed."

The sheriff's office said the video was recorded by a child in the room.

"That appears to be a normal way of life, and they're laughing and cussing and throwing the F-bomb around - the kids and Vivian - and they're posting that conduct for all the world to see," Judd said.
