Winter Haven Police say Glen Davis nearly killed his girlfriend using two dangerous weapons, fire and HIV.

His girlfriend, still shaken from the incident, said Davis soaked her and her son’s clothes they were wearing, in gasoline and tried to set them on fire.

“I seen my life flash before my eyes right there. The house filled up with smoke. There was fire and smoke and we couldn’t get out,” she said.

And she said things went from bad to worse all because Davis suspected her of cheating.

“He ended up going to get some gas and dashing me and my son with gas and setting the kitchen on fire with us in there and pushing it. He set the table on fire and push the table toward us,” the victim said.

She said her son managed to escape but she was left inside alone with Davis. She said that’s when he raped her.

“He put the scissors to my throat and made me have sex with him.”

She said she dated Davis for months and always used protection. But this time she said he didn’t when he allegedly forced himself on her.

Police reports show that Davis did this knowing he was HIV positive.

“He said you’re gonna die one way or another,” the victim said.

The victim said she’s still afraid for her life and her son’s life even though the suspect is being held behind bars with no bond for several of the charges against him.

The victim said she immediately went to a doctor and is undergoing test to make sure she didn’t contract the disease.
