Police are looking for a St. Petersburg man they believe may be in danger.

James Smith, 48, was last seen Sunday night when he left his girlfriend's house. His home near 47th Avenue N was locked up and his car was there, but his wallet, cell phone and walking cane were left behind.

Police said Smith has a hard time walking and suffers from chronic pain and depression. Police said he has been hospitalized for these issues in the past, and that he may be hospitalized under a different name.

Smith is described as a white man who stands 6' and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen in an orange shirt and black dress shorts. He has a burn scar around his neck.
