Elias Phoneix had two big goals.

A rising pianist, Phoenix wanted to play Carnegie Hall and appear on the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Check and check.

Oh, and Phoenix is all of 7 years old.

Over Thanksgiving, Elias played at Carnegie Hall in New York City. It was a big moment for the musical prodigy.

“You know, those people, when they're very nervous, they do perfect," he said. "Well, that's what I was like at Carnegie Hall. I was so nervous but I did perfect because I was so scared to mess up in front of the whole audience.”

Phoenix, who lives in Brandon, was equally comfortable in his meeting with his favorite talk show host.

He told Ellen he thought she was cute, gave her a ton of hugs and dazzled the audience by dancing over to a piano and playing a classical piece of music. The show featuring Elias, who has a twin brother Zion that also plays piano, aired Friday.

By Monday afternoon, a clip of Elias on the show had more than one million views on You Tube.
