Tampa International Airport is still seeing cancellations and delays from winter storms.

The latest numbers suggest more than 114 delays and 12 cancellations, as of 4 p.m. The canceled flights are to Dallas, Washington D.C., and Baltimore, according to airport officials.

Patricia Greenberg, her daughters and granddaughters, 4-year-old Kayla and 2-week-old Lexi, were delayed getting home to New York. Grandma tries to entertain the little ones while they wait.

"The baby will sleep. Kayla, we're trying to do coloring books and we're gonna walk around and shop and just try to pass the time that way,” she said.

With dozens of delays and cancellations, travelers heading to or from a variety of locations including North Carolina, New York, Dallas and Detroit are impacted.

Jennifer Borton was delayed heading home to Detroit and said she would've enjoyed more time in Tampa, just not in the airport.

"We would've been on the beach or at the pool for a lot longer,” she said.

Travelers are trying to make the best out of their wait. Greenberg keeps in touch with friends back home.

"I was just on the phone with my friend from New York," Greenberg said. "She said it was just misting there, but she said there's a lot of delays from last night from the snow."

The average delay time is around 45 minutes.
