A St. Petersburg woman's body was found on Gandy Beach Thursday morning.
A passerby walking along the shoreline discovered the body of Pamela Sue Simon, 51, just east of the Banana Boat, at about 7:10 a.m., the report said.
Detectives say there does not appear to be any foul play involved and that her death does not appear to be suspicious.
Simon was originally reported to be a transient, but detectives later said this was not the case.
The investigation into her death continues.
