The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate an early morning fatal traffic crash that left one person dead.
Deputies say, around 3:23 a.m., a 1999 Chevrolet Astro van pulled into the path of a motorcycle on Ehrlich Road west of Hutchinson Road.
As the van pulled out of a nearby driveway, the westbound motorcycle struck the driver's side of the van.
The motorcyclist, 27-year-old Javier Mercado-Cebollero of Farmington Road in Tampa, died at the scene.
The van's driver is 45-year-old Elias Tenorio of Saddle Stream Drive in Tampa.
There is no word on his condition or if any charges are pending.
