A Palm Harbor man is facing charges after deputies said he stole about 100 scratch-off lottery tickets from a Dunedin convenience store.

Trevor D. Winsett, 24, was arrested Thursday evening and charged with burglary, robbery and dealing in stolen property.

Deputies said Winsett committed a smash-and-grab burglary on Jan. 29 and robberies on Jan. 17 and Feb. 1, all at the Munchees convenience store on Bayshore Boulevard.

Winsett allegedly stole the lottery tickets during the smash-and-grab burglary, deputies said.

Detectives said they later determined that Winsett had given the lottery tickets to his brother to repay a debt.  A few hours later, Winsett's brother and his girlfriend cashed in the winning tickets at a 7-11 in Palm Harbor, the reprot said.

Fingerprints on the cashed-in winning tickets were identified as belonging to Winsett's brother, deputies said.  From there, detectives were able to link Winsett to the burglary, as well as the robberies, the report said.

Winsett was taken to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
