A group of Bay area cyclists are taking a long ride to help cure cancer.

The group, Cure on Wheels, has teamed up with Moffitt Cancer Center for the 4th annual Capitol Ride.

The three day, 320 mile trek will take them from Tampa to Tallahassee.

Once in the capitol they plan to talk to lawmakers about continuing funding for cancer research.

"We get to tell them how important cancer research is, how important it is for the state to continue funding the cancer research. Not just to help increase employment, high paying jobs, but also ultimately to find the cure,” said Joshua Rivera, a cancer survivor.
