Hernando County's library system has been named the 2013 Florida Library System of the Year.
The honor comes from the Florida Library Association, which aims to recognize libraries that offer outstanding service to the community. Hernando highlighted its computer classes, kids' programs, Kindle lending program and community partnerships.
