The Hernando County Sheriff's Office uncovered a marijuana growing operation at a home in Spring Hill on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said three rooms inside the home had been converted into marijuana grow rooms.

A total of 42 plants along with four pounds of shake marijuana were recovered inside the residence.

Detectives claimed 33.5 pounds of marijuana.

Detectives said they also found an illegally placed power line tap used to steal and divert electricity into the residence.

Thirty-nine-year-old Yaneris Barbara Perez and 37-year-old Eduardo Cabeza were both arrested.

They face a number of charges including trafficking in marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
