Tampa broke a record for this date (April 16) with a high of 92 degrees at Tampa International Airport, according to Bay News 9 chief meteorologist Mike Clay.

That beats the old record of 88 degrees set in 1994 and 1991 and just one degree shy of the warmest April temperature ever recorded (93 in 1958 & 1979)
