A Zephyrhills woman died Sunday after she was involved in a motorcycle crash in Lakeland.
The crash happened at 6:56 p.m. in the area of Old Dade City and Rockridge roads.
Deputies say 55-year-old Christina Brown Partanna was riding a 2003 Hondao motorcycle in the lead of a pack of other motorcycles operated by her brothers-in-law and her husband.
Deputies say she was slightly ahead of the pack and started around the curve at the intersection at about 30 mph.
When Partanna's relatives came around the curve, they no longer saw Partanna on the roadway. When they turned around, they found Partanna had hit the guardrail and was ejected from her motorcycle, deputies said.
Deputies said Partanna, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, died at the scene.
The investigation continues.
