A crash that blocked northbound I-275 at the start of the Howard Frankland Bridge has been cleared.

For a while, vehicles were getting through in only the far right lane, and traffic was backed up for miles. But crews cleared the wreckage just after 7 a.m.

A view from Sky 9 showed a pickup truck, a car and a mattress blocking the roadway. It appears that the mattress flipped or fell off the pickup truck back into traffic and caused a crash.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue crews arrived on the scene around 6:40 a.m.
