The long-rumored story of a crocodile in Lake Tarpon appears to be true.
According to our partners at the Tampa Bay Times, the 700-pound 11-foot long American crocodile is believed to have been in the lake for at least a year.
It took a trapper crew more than four hours to capture the crocodile.
The crocodile is now at a rehabilitation facility in south Florida and is expected to eventually be released back into the wild.
