It all started with a cell phone picture, one detectives say a 15-year-old Wiregrass Ranch High School student took of her two friends engaging in oral sex.

Detectives say the girl then sent the picture out to some other friends and in no time, it made its way to Twitter.

"There's no bringing it back," said Detective William Lindsey with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. "There's no way to know how many people saved that picture on their device."

Now, that 15-year-old girl faces 3rd degree felony charges. Detectives say she was caught after a teacher, who suspected her of cheating on a test, went through the girl’s cell phone and found the explicit photograph. Because the two teens in it are underage, law enforcement considers it child pornography.

"You can't be in possession of these photographs," Detective Lindsey said. "You can't take them and you can't transmit them and in this case, all of this was done maliciously."

If they didn't already hear what happened, every Wiregrass Ranch High School parent should now know.  The school principal sent out an automated voice message letting them all know what happened and warning them to talk to their children about taking explicit photographs.

The sentiment is echoed by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, as they begin cracking down.

"A major crimes detective came to her house and put her in handcuffs and took her away to the juvenile assessment center. If that doesn't make an impression on a 15-year-old girl, I don't know what will," Detective Lindsey said.

Detective Lindsey tells us the two teens in the explicit photograph, a 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, where aware the photo was taken, but had no idea it would be shared with others. Lindsey tells us they will not face any charges. But he said he is issuing an arrest warrant for the 18-year-old classmate who posted the picture to Twitter.
